Thanks Jean to answer. I was thinking in a way to find the optimal shore square to send a ship to take a settler... Perhaps generating the "distance cone" from the settler or the ship until reaching the other...
The cone would generate over the sea and over the continent square, taking the cost movement of the settler or the ship depending on the type of square.
Then I could trace the route backwards, that could be divided into the sea part and the continental part to obtain the turn movements. The diference would be the number of turns that should wait the ship or the settler for the other, aprox.
I don't know if it would get the optimal square or only a good one...
Well thanks again and I will go on thinking other methods to improve the AI :-)
