: : I have started writing an interactive tribe editor for c-evo, which will give a visual way for editing tribe files. It's being written in C# 2.0. After three evenings of development, so far it can parse and save tribe files. I'll post an alpha when I think it can do basic tribe file management. I wanted to post now to see what kind of interest there is. I haven't thought about making it open source or not. Your comments are welcome.

: I could help you if you wish to have some support for older versions of C-Evo, however, I don't know C#.
Until I feel comfortable in making the code open, I will have a couple other ways to contribute. For one, it will easy for people to report bugs if they find any using the bugtracker on my website.
Also, I'm going to make it easy to translate into other languages using an app.config file. Once all the entries are translated in it, it would be easy to overwrite the app.config so that it's in another language.
PROGRESS UPDATE:
In another week it will probably be ready to release as a beta. Currently I have a graphics file picker working, so it's only a matter of time before I have everything tied together. I'm hoping it will have some cool features like autoupdate working by the time I release it (Visual Studio 2005 rocks).
