: : On 230% size, 60% landmass, 9 ai's its war with incoming units every turn early in the game and later about 1500
:
Tried equal Ai's of stdai and kiai:
Kiai makes friends with everyone - so tended to play only stdai to block out this unainoing behaviour not to know who was contacted and why some nations progressed unreasonably in the techchart ahead
>>: : Usually the game is won about 1900 - 1950 but never earlier
: : How its done
:
>>: Yes, I usually finish the spaceship around 1900. It'd be sooner except for finding and using the third special resource.
Its basically unbeleavable to me: replayed the same game started with different strategies - the difference where some times marginal in termes of years but with cheating (looking for the way the enemy came after me) I made progress in population but never in the sizes you are talking
it seems I am still a beginner in this game - but then we (anyone like me) would like to get more detailed insight in the difficult parts of the game other already managed to overcome or to the riddles solved
Choosing the right tiles for a new city:
It almost gives me pleasure to find out other player haven't
got to "grips" with that problem also
therefore my question. how do Ais choose the spots?
One more thing to think about:
Have not played the game for above reasons - either I am overrun by enemies coming in during every turn for almost the whole game until it becomes too much (instead of trying to evolve an empire I am involved in endless wars)
or its too easy - becoming boring for its repeated gameplay
In my opinion this game makes only sense if its possible to win in different ways but its seems it became a game of war only (looking at the behavior of Ais)
THERE IS ONLY ONE SURVEYOR - in this kind of sense
still I am lookoing forward to a game won before 2000ac (any help to be able to do that is really apprechiated)
