You raised some interesting points, i hope we hear from those who have played by email, their experiences, issues, and ways they solved them.
Since this thread is not about online 'hot-seat' games, i will not make it go in that direction. Strictly speaking, it would be nice to have an app that emailed the game after each turn automatically.
If that existed, then i'd ask to have the implementation of these (already somewhat discussed) ideas:
The problem/solution of Diplomatic Refusal "Why or What's the reason for refusal?".

And since Human players will be entering a text string during diplomacy there are no localization issues, AIs may supply these text strings (very helpful!), but will most likely just ignore incoming strings as they probably couldn't be interpreted, AIs should regard other Nation's Actions/Attitudes if possible.
The problem/solution of Diplomatic Refusal - Blocking Envoys. There is no current way to automatically block envoy(s), the solution to this is to add an 'Ignore' attitude to the list of National Attitude selections. We could even add a pre-set message a la the previous issue.
The problem/solution of quicker Diplomacy. Since i think an app that emailed at the end of turns is a good idea, i also think this app should conduct diplomacy by IM if the players have such a thing, else email.
One last thing i do not know about... It appears that AIs store data that is lost when a game is closed and C-evo is exited. How does this affect the game play with AIs to be constantly losing this data on each re-start?
