How to do play-by-email (PBEM) with C-evo

Additional problems:
* no simultaneous turns
* new information is gathered within the turn
Solutions for the second problem.
* trust the honesty of the players
* have constant server communication, and only the known knowledge at the client side
* allow information cheating (well, then it isn't cheating anymore)
Solution 1 is to naive for my taste; solution 2 far beyond the scope of civ-evo; solution 3 may make an interesting, almost chess like game; completely different from a normal game of course.

So I would suggest the following game setup, possible due to the deterministic character of civevo:
Player 1 start a game for two human players; with (optional) some AI to (ab)use, and with the human players on different continents.
Player 2 picks a nation and mails the actions for turn 1-10
Player 1 plays the first 10 turns and mails turn 10 save game + the actions for turn 11-20
etc until contact is made and each turn must be mailed.
Rules:
* You can use any information gettable (for example play ahead)
* The first to build a spaceship (if human) wins
* The first human destroyed loses (if no spaceship yet)
* Is is a draw if an AI launches a space ship

Since it is difficult to create a game with equally usefull starting positions, and playing the loosing side may be interesting, a double game might be even more interesting
Player 1 start a game for two human players; with (optional) some AI to use, and with the human players on different continents.
Player 1 mails his actions for turn 1-10 for both nations
Player 2 plays the first 10 turns in two copies of the game (playing both nations once); and mails the 2 turn 10 save games + his actions for turn 11-20
etc until contact is made and each turn must be mailed.
* You can use any information gettable (for example play ahead)
* The first to build a spaceship in one of the game copies wins (if human)
* The first human destroyed (in one of the game copies) loses (if no spaceship yet)
* Is is a draw if an AI launches a space ship
